Ingredients Required:
pumpkin: 1/4 kg
turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
tamarind: marble size
red chilli: 3 nos.
garlic: 3 pieces
pepper: 2 nos.
potato: 1 small size
jaggery: a little
oil: 1 spoon
mustard: 1 tea spoon
asafoetida: 1 pinch
salt: as per your taste
curry leaf: 4 strings
Method of Preparation:
first wash the pumpkin and remove the seeds. then cut into pieces as you use to cut for sambar. put it in a vessel and add two cups of water and bake it well. grind the garlic, pepper, potato, red chilles. add this mixture to the baked pumpkin with a little salt and jaggery. boil this. then put some oil in a pan and then it boils put mustard and when it bursts put a pinch of asafoetida and mix it with sambar
