Methi Poori is a good variant of poori, for those who want to have some health with oily food.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour-1 cup
Maida –1cup
Fenugreek leaves-1 bunch medium sized
Garam masala-1 table spoon
Green chillies-8-10
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Cut fenugreek finely
- take 2 table spoons of oil and fry the fenugreek leaves in a pan, for 5 minutes
- Allow to cool
- Mix green chillipaste, salt, garam masala
- Using water mix tight dough
- Allow to set for 1/2 an hr
- Knead out into small poori’s using rice flour to knead and
- deep fry in hot oil
- serve hot.
You can use red chili powder instead of green chillies.
